Are we in right direction?
As I think of globalization or competition then first name comes in my mind is Telecom sector. I know India is fast evolving telecom hub in the world comes 5th in the largest network and comes after china in fast growing telecom market. Still we are providing perennial cheapest service in the telecom sector. At this point of time I reverberate that we are going in right direction but when I think of hardware of telecom industry then my thought do dump me. I don’t know why company such as huge infrastructure and huge capital are not investing in hardware sector .Average they are going to foray in totally different sector .Most of the hardware imported from developed country or some other country. India also has some company which give hardware for telecom sector but that is not sufficient to fulfill their own hardware requirement only. In near future we will need more and more hardware; surely we will be looking towards other country because our investment is still pending in this direction. If you do survey of cell or mobile replacement capability of Indian user then you will get very surprising data we people more often change device compare to US or any mature market. This deewali Nokia sold more devices in a single day than Chinese New year or US’s vacation time. When we were lacking in the food and grain, we had started green revolution. So I am guessing same here we need some revolution in this direction.

We have vast opportunity in this telecom sector. There is no doubt that we have to start the production of hardware which at presently we are importing from other country. At present we are very much dependent on others in this sector. As well all know that we are having a giant number of consumers who is using mobile phone but still we are not able to give good facility in rural areas because most of percentage of hardware which we need in telecom, we are importing and in this processor it takes time. Now it’s the time to start production of such major things in our country. Telecom sector is playing important role in the development of our country. Due to mobile the way of living of people especially in rural areas has changed. They are doing much better because of mobile. They are becoming much stronger financially. So due to revolution in telecom sector Indian economy started flourishing. But we have to give attention in other areas also.
